An Insufficient Resistance →

Many in our country are thinking it’s time for revolution of some kind. But the desire for social change needs grounding. As the author of this article notes, “The desire for social change is noble — if tempered by the gospel.”

And also, “Power without revelation ultimately produces tyranny; resistance without revelation ultimately yields to anarchy.”

Yes, we need a political change. The state of immigration, the eschewing of the balance of power, and the general disregard for grace in engagement are all signs of horribly deficient government. But with a government made of people, political change must also come with moral change.

And as Christians, the Gospel should be our guide.
