Good Advice

Good Advice

1 Peter 3:15-16 says this:

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.”

This command regarding the hope we have is really good advice. And like much good advice, could be applied to many other areas.

While it is not talking about, say, politics, the advice given here could easily be applied there.

The advice goes like this.

  1. Have good reasons for what you think
  2. Speak those reasons with gentleness and respect

Not a bad reminder in our current political climate. And life in general.
